Experimentation: Self Instruction

Just a week ago, I purchased my first digital SLR camera.  I have been taking time to teach myself how to use, and make the most it!  These pictures are from the first day I took my camera out of the box, and with a little editing, I think they turned out pretty cool!  

This first one turned out looking like something straight out of a Smith & Hawkin catalog!

These are all taken from my parents backyard.  I figure there is a lot more to the eye there than in mine :)  Although Emmy usually leaves more than a few things to look at...

Experimenting with over-exposure is neat, and while I still don't really know what I'm doing, I'm loving the results!
